Smart’s new version of MyPhone my28 rumored to be released at the end of the month

Due to the overwhelming response of the public, Smart and MyPhones’s my28 bundled promo devices are finally out of stock. Although this news is pretty frustrating and disappointing for some, there’s still a hope. According to rumors, Smart’s new version of MyPhone my28 Android phone named MyPhone my28S will be announced later next week before the month of January ends with the same price of Php888.

MyPhone my28S comes with the same freebies bundled to it. You’ll still get 100MB of data every month for 1 year, as well as free Facebook, Instagram, and Viber. For a minimum top-up of Php100 each month, you can also get a monthly rebate of Php30.

Inside it comes with a Quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and a downgrade internal storage of 4GB. For the camera, it has a 5 mega-pixel rear and a 2 mega-pixel front camera which not yet confirmed if it still has a front LED flash like the original version. The screen measures 4 inch WVGA display. The device also supports 3G Dual band and dual SIM capability (first SIM is SMART lock while the other SIM slot is open to SUN, TNT and SMART) and it runs with Android 5.1 Lollipop.

For the price, it’s still a good deal for those who want an entry level smartphone with some descent specs. Although the ROM is reduced to 4GB, it’s still a good device price wise.
